The BuiltPOS suite

One system, from the counter to the back office

Start with the register. Add the screens and tools your store needs, and they share the same products, prices and sales.

The BuiltPOS register and BuiltOFFICE are on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. BuiltOFFICE also runs in any web browser at app.builtpos.com.

At the register

Keeps selling when the internet goes down

Each register keeps its own copy of your products and prices and records every sale on the device. When the connection comes back, sales and stock sync on their own.

  • Cash, card, EBT/SNAP, gift card and split payments
  • Several registers share stock, shifts and held orders
  • Age checks for tobacco and alcohol at the register
  • A phone can be a second register on a busy day

In the back office

Every store and every number in BuiltOFFICE

Sales from every register come together in one place. Manage products, prices, stock and staff from a browser at app.builtpos.com or the app.

  • End of day, monthly, tax and staff reports, as PDFs or emailed on a schedule
  • Stock, purchase orders and vendor invoices into stock
  • Staff roles, time clock and schedules, with hours exported to ADP, Gusto or QuickBooks
  • Every store under one sign-in
  • Ask BuiltAI about your sales and stock in plain English (add-on)

In the kitchen

Kitchen and counter in step

Orders from the register and the self-order kiosk go to the right kitchen station the moment they are rung, and the screens keep getting tickets over the store network when the internet is down.

  • Tables, seats, courses and modifiers
  • Each kitchen station gets its own screen or printer
  • Kiosk orders go straight to the kitchen display

BuiltPOS runs your pumps through the Technotrade PTS-2 forecourt controller. Ring up fuel with the in-store sale and see every pump, price sign and tank from the register.

  • Prepay and postpay at the register
  • Price signs changed from one place
  • Tank levels from your tank probes

BuiltAI

AI built in

BuiltAI works from your store's own sales, stock and supplier invoices. It reads and suggests; you check the result and decide.

Ask about your store

Ask in plain English in BuiltOFFICE: today's sales, top products, low stock or how each employee did. BuiltAI reads your numbers and cannot change them.

Add-on

Scan supplier invoices

Take a photo of a vendor invoice or upload the PDF. The lines are read and matched to your products, and you review the costs before you update prices.

Add-on

Sales forecasts

See the next seven days by weekday, a month-end projection, your busiest hours and the products about to run out, worked out from your own sales history.

Add-on

Suggested purchase orders

BuiltOFFICE drafts an order for each supplier from how fast items sell and what is on the shelf. Change the quantities, then save the orders you want.

With Purchase Orders

Product photos

Press Generate with BuiltAI on a product and BuiltPOS looks for a photo by barcode and name. Where an AI image service is set up for your account, it can draw one when no photo is found.

Questions about terminals and processors

Reliability and control

Built for stores that cannot stop selling

What protects your sales, your cash and your data.

Sales saved on the register

Every sale is recorded on the device first, so an internet outage never stops the line. It syncs when the connection returns.

Roles and manager approval

Give owners, managers, shift leads and cashiers the access they need. Voids, refunds and price overrides can require a manager PIN.

A record of what happened

Voids, refunds, price changes and cash drawer openings are logged with who did them and when.

Card numbers stay with your processor

The card terminal and your processor handle the card. BuiltPOS does not store card numbers.

Nightly backups

Store data kept in the BuiltPOS cloud is backed up every night, encrypted.

Status in the open

Check the health of the BuiltPOS service any time at status.builtpos.com.

Runs on what you have

The same register on a phone

Use a phone as a second register on a busy day or to ring up at the pumps. It is the same app, with the same products, prices and reports.

Questions

What store owners ask

The ones store owners ask most. See all questions

Does BuiltPOS work without internet?

Yes. Every sale is recorded on the register itself. When the connection returns, sales, stock changes and shifts sync to the cloud automatically. You do not have to do anything.

Can I keep my card processor?

Yes. BuiltPOS works with PAX, Clover, Verifone, Ingenico and Worldpay terminals. Ask your processor for one of these and BuiltPOS sends each sale to it.

Can I move from my current POS?

If your current system keeps its data in Microsoft SQL Server, BuiltPOS can import your products, customers and sales history, and BuiltSync can keep the old system connected while you switch. See switching to BuiltPOS.

What devices does BuiltPOS run on?

The register runs on Windows, iPad, iPhone and Android. BuiltOFFICE runs in any web browser and as an app. The kitchen display runs on Android and Windows screens, and the self-order kiosk on Android tablets.

Does BuiltPOS take EBT/SNAP?

Yes, on every plan. Mark which items are EBT eligible, and the register leaves tax off the items paid with SNAP.

Can BuiltPOS run my fuel pumps?

Yes, through the Technotrade PTS-2 forecourt controller. Take prepay and postpay at the register, change price signs from one place and see tank levels from your tank probes.

Is there a kitchen display and a self-order kiosk?

Yes. Orders from the register and the kiosk go to the right kitchen station, and the kitchen screens keep getting tickets over the store network when the internet is down.

Is there a contract?

No. Plans are month to month and you can cancel any time. The 15-day free trial needs no credit card.

Try it on the hardware you already have

15-day free trial, no credit card, no contract.
